AMIR WINDOM
Amir Windom is one of the nation’s rising
entertainment moguls. In just a few years,
Amir has emerged as a leader by asserting his
skills in the music, public relations,
marketing, and advertising industries.
Possessing the ability to think outside of the box
and having a keen eye for new talent, he
proudly serves as an A&R for Atlantic Records.
In this capacity, he has assisted in
developing the careers of some of today’s biggest
stars such as T.I., Lupe Fiasco, Estelle,
Bobby Valentino, Young Jeezy and B. Rossi to
name a few. Thus far, Amir has been
responsible for signing 3 artists that have earned
gold and/ or platinum status. Amir also is a
music supervisor for Sony Pictures, where he
helps create songs for Sony Pictures films.
He’s worked on movies such as Spiderman 3,
Why Did I Get Married, Why Did I Get Married 2
(2010 release) and Stomp The Yard to
name a few.
Prior to his tenure at Atlantic Records, Amir
has held marketing positions with Bad Boy
and Def Jam Records where he helped build the
brands of artist like Jay-Z, Kanye West
and Rihanna to name a few. Through these
positions, he realized that he could be the
change he wanted to see by choosing new talent
that could not only make great music
but also become a brand.
MAURICE SLADE
Maurice Slade is the
Digital Marketing Manager at Universal Motown where he
develops the online marketing strategies for
some of today’s most prominent music
artists such as Erykah Badu, Lil Wayne, Drake
and Kid Cudi to name a few.
The Houston, Texas native got into the music
business at an early age,
getting his first taste of the music business
working for popular music
executive Mathew Knowles at Music World
Entertainment. At Music World,
he got to work with with megastar Beyonce
Knowles and Destiny’s Child.
After helping Warner Music Group improve there
digital strategies,
Maurice and his digital mind landed a job at Complex Magazine, in
their online
division. This is where Maurice says his digital skills and creative
mind went to another level. At Complex, he
created original content for
Complex websites that include “webisodes”,
celebrity interviews, and blog entries.
These new additions to Complex’s website
caused a 15% increase in traffic.
This percentage increase got the attention of
a lot of companies,
which landed Maurice in his current position at Universal Motown.
DAN CULL
Dan Cull is a
music industry veteran and the most prolific talent buyer
in the USA. As former owner of Cleveland’s
legendary Peabody’s
concert club and Gorilla Productions president,
Cull has promoted acts such as Jay Z, My
Chemical Romance,
The Killers, Lamb of God, Kid Cudi and more.
Cull is also the owner of independent label,
Rock X Records.
Rock X Records has emerging artist Keeping Riley from NYC
and up and coming hip hop artist, Ollie OX of
San Francisco.
Rock X is also preparing for an August 2010 release of “The
Celebration,” a dvd
of live performances and interviews with Bone Thugs N Harmony’s
Bizzy Bone.
JEFF BLUE
Jeff Blue is currently an
A&R consultant for Atlantic Records & award winning songwriter
for Universal Music Publishing. He has been
head of A&R for Interscope,
Warner Bros., Jive, RCA, Virgin & now heads
his own development &
management company which signed & developed
two brand new acts
in the last 4 months to majors such as Island Def Jam/Mercury &
Atlantic Records.
